I have been in the real estate, banking, insurance, escrow industry much of my life. I always had the greatest of intentions of sending my valued clients a birthday card on their special day. January and February heard from me, but then life and business got in the way. Same with my assistant.
When I opened up my floral shop 20 years ago, gifting became our main focus. With computerization it made it easier to remind our customers to send that bouquet to their family, client friend just like last year. We can still do that, but we took it one step further.
We have clients who send us a list each month, quarter, or year and request a predetermined gift to be sent on the special occasion of their recipient. It can be as simple as a box of cookies, organic tea, candy bar, jelly bellies or even a gift basket. We do the wrapping, mailing, and enclosure card, and invoice you monthly. The bonus is that many companies already have a budget in place and reimburse their agents.
We have some recommended gifts for client birthdays. We have realtors who send gift baskets on the anniversary of the purchase of the home. The possibilities are endless! It's just one more way to keep your name in front of your customers all year long.
